Menarini Joventut

A giant M features prominently in the centre of their basketball shirts. The wheelchair basketball players of the Joventut Badalona Club can count on the sponsorship of Menarini Spain. A bond that is also underscored by the team’s new name – Menarini Joventut – the most recent chapter in a long-standing friendship.

The Punts que Sumen (Points that add up) project, organised in conjunction with the company and the Serveis Educatius Ciutat de Badalona, has been instrumental in our long, mutual journey. Over the years, we have involved hundreds of students around the city in lessons and recreational activities related to wheelchair basketball. Promoting participation in adaptive sport and raising awareness about disability among children were the two main goals of the team’s visits to schools in Badalona. To show young people that reduced mobility is also just a mental barrier and a wall that can be torn down together.
