The Menarini Volpi Rosse team

Ethics, respect and integration are the three cornerstones of Menarini Volpi Rosse, the wheelchair basketball team which we have sponsored for over ten years. A real-life demonstration of how sport can break down physical, social and cultural barriers.

Set up by the Wheelchair Sport Firenze association that debuted in the Serie A league in 2021, team aims at the sporting and social inclusion of boys and girls with mobility issues. Dedication, loyalty, passion, determination and the desire to have fun are the strengths behind this team, which is also involved in the youth league.

A project that received the Fair Play Menarini International Award in 2016, by helping young people, confined to wheelchairs, to get involved in sport and make friends. All played in the spirit of healthy competition, which has enabled the Menarini Volpi Rosse team to achieve outstanding results both in Italy and abroad.
